Second & Third Week

So I forgot about blogging last week so I'll make up for it this week. :)

UPDATE FROM THE FIRST DAY:

I was really worried after the first workout about the fact that I felt like I was going to pass out. So I talked with Jeremy afterwards and he told me that I should for sure up my calorie intake. So on Wednesday the 7th I made sure I ate enough calories and from that point on I have not felt like I was going to pass out or that I was too weak to complete to workout.

We did the same workout week one and two. Circuits: Time on the floor doing burpies and V-sits, then the incline trainer, then RIP:60 then the bikes. By the beginning of the second week we were making it through the circuit 4 times before the workout time was up. By the end of the second week I was getting bored of the workout and really wanted something different.

After the first two weeks I wasn't really seeing any difference in how my clothes fit, how I felt est. But I have dedicated myself to this workout and nutrition plan and I know that if I stick to it then there has to be SOME type of results, right? I haven't really been missing the candy and sweets as much as I thought I would. The biggest thing for me is soda pop. Not the sugar or caffeine but the fizzy. I like the fizz :) Other than that I have been very strong and I am really proud of myself. I am a Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher (completing my student teaching) and right now I have a few foods classes. One requirement the students need to learn is how to measure. I have done some fun food labs like chocolate chip cookies to help them learn those techniques. I did not even have one chocolate chip. I made cookies for both of my classes one day and then they got the opportunity to make their own the next day. That is almost 700 cookies that I had to withstand. And my students were so cute and gave me cookie. But I wrapped it up and brought it home for my husband to eat. Can you say will power!? I will get results from this and to get that I know I have to stay strong not only in the workout but in the kitchen as well. Jake says that our goals are reached not in the gym but in our kitchens and that is where we will get the results we want is if we watch what we eat.

WEEK 3

It is Wednesday of week 3. I just finished the workout and I really felt like I left everything I had on the floor tonight. We started our new workout on Monday. Still circuits but with more added to it and only twice through. So Burpies, V-sit, backward plank...or something haha, and then opposite extending. I start with this station because getting the burpies out of the way seems to psychologically make me feel better :) Then to the incline. 2 minutes incline then we drop down and I have decided to go the speed of 4 the first minute then kick it into a run for the last minute. After that RIP:60 with a couple different moves added onto it. Then to the bikes for 4 minutes. We make it through this one 2 times because we are in the stations for 4 minutes instead of 2 minutes. Which I like because it seems to make it go faster.

I still didn't feel like I was losing like I wanted to so I stayed and talked with Jake and we figured out what I needed to be eating and ideas of what I could do on the days I am not doing the workout. On my days off I have access to a FreeMotion incline trainer so I go after work for about 20-30 minutes. Today I can say that I may be noticing my dress pants fitting looser...or it's in my head. I am still not too sure. On Sunday I wore my boots and one thing I did notice is how much bigger and more ripped my calves are because the boots fit tighter haha. Not really my goal but I will take it :)

OVERALL

The experience this far has been amazing. The coaches (Jake and Derek) have really been encouraging and helpful. The workouts make me feel like I am actually working out! I would always go to the gym but really had no idea what I needed to do to get the results I wanted. But now I know that with the fitness coaches’ help and these workouts I will be able to reach my goals :)
